Some of the equipment will also be used at our Satellite Cancer Centre at Queen Mary’s Hospital in Sidcup. The centres will be a hub for south east London, providing specialist cancer services, training, development and research. This will also help us to improve both cancer treatments and outcomes. The new Cancer Centre at Guy’s Hospital is due to be completed by September 2016. A summary of the requirements is shown below. Full detail will be included within the forthcoming ITT: Immobilisation equipment: — head and neck immobilisation system suitable for IMRT and VMAT radiotherapy treatments. To include an MR compatible option, — breast immobilisation system suitable for radiotherapy to the breast. Dosimetry Equipment: — daily dose constancy check devices for Linear accelerators, — 2D arrays for the determination of linear accelerator radiation beam flatness and symmetry, — devices for pre treatment or during treatment quality assurance of IMRT and VMAT delivery, — routine dosimetry equipment, including electrometers and chambers for photon and electron dose measurements and a range of dosimetry phantoms.
