This Invitation for Prequalification follows the General Procurement Notice for this project which was published on the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) website on 19th January 2015.

Jadrová a vyraďovacia spoločnosť, a.s. (JAVYS, a.s.), hereinafter referred to as “the Employer”, intends using part of the proceeds of a grant from the Bohunice International Decommissioning Support Fund administered by the EBRD hereinafter referred to as “the Bank”, towards the cost of the project D3.1B – Dismantling and Demolition of V1 NPP Cooling Towers.

The Employer intends prequalifying firms and consortia who wish to submit an Application in the following Contract, hereinafter referred to as “the Contract”, to be funded from part of the proceeds of the Grant:

The objective of the BIDSF Project D3.1B is dismantling of equipment, demolition and waste disposal of the following buildings: four cooling towers, connecting channels of V1 NPP cooling water and pipeline trenches V1 NPP in the most effective and economical manner, without any perturbations and facilitating the V1 NPP decommissioning process.

The scope of this Project covers all activities related to the dismantling and demolition of the above mentioned structures as well as the tools and equipment to be used and also relevant design and documentary activities. The Contractor shall be responsible for elaborating the complete proposal, overall management of the project, design and planning of the dismantling and demolition works, procuring materials, tools and equipment, dismantling of all equipment installed in buildings and surroundings, demolition of the structures up to the lower part of the foundation gap, segregation of waste and segregation of the hazardous materials, crushing of the concrete obtained from demolition of the structures, separation, fragmentation and transport of valuable materials, transportation, store and disposal of all not valuable waste produced including hazardous materials, backfilling of all holes after removing building and structures, surface grading and grassing.

Procurement will be carried out in accordance with the EBRD Procurement Policies and Rules with the exception of country eligibility restrictions defined within the BIDSF rules.

Prequalification and tendering for contracts to be financed with the proceeds of the BIDSF grant which is administered by the Bank is open to firms from all eligible countries and as at 1st January 2015 they are: EU member states, Switzerland, and the EBRD’s Countries of Operations.

Prequalification Documents may be obtained from the office at the address below upon written application (which shall contain Applicant’s request for Prequalification Documents, incl. all invoicing data, i.e. company address, correspondence address, tax number identification, VAT number etc.) sent by e-mail or fax and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Euro one hundred (€100) or equivalent in a convertible currency at the account No. EUR 2629106127/1100 IBAN: SK6111000000002629106127, BIC: TATRSKBX, variable symbol: 0192002.

The set of Prequalification Documents is provided in governing language, that is English, and upon request of the Applicant it will be provided also in Slovak language. In case of discrepancies between English and Slovak sets of Prequalification Documents, the English set of Prequalification Documents governs and shall be binding upon each Applicant.

Upon the Employer’s receipt of payment of the non-refundable fee, the documents will be promptly dispatched by courier; however, no liability can be accepted for their loss or late delivery.

If requested, the documents can be dispatched electronically in PDF format free of charge, once the hard copy has been acquired.

Prequalified companies will receive a set of the Tender Documents free of charge once the procurement procedure is launched.

The Applications shall be duly completed and delivered to the address below, on or before 17th September 2015, 10.00 a.m., CET. Documents which are received late may be rejected and returned unopened.

The Applications shall be submitted to the Employer during working days in the Slovak Republic from 08.00 a.m. till 03.30 p.m., CET. Due to the holiday, the Registry Office at Bratislava will be closed on 14th September 2015 and 15th September 2015.
