II.1.6) Common procurement vocabulary (CPV) 38622000 II.1.7) Information about Government Procurement Agreement (GPA) The contract is covered by the Government Procurement Agreement (GPA): yes II.1.8) Lots This contract is divided into lots: no II.1.9) Information about variants Variants will be accepted: yes II.2) Quantity or scope of the contract II.2.1) Total quantity or scope: The toroidal mirror optic will be manufactured from a single crystal silicon block along the length of which a toroidal groove of specified width and radius is to be ground and polished into the flat top face. The inside of the toroidal groove will be coated with rhodium to increase the reflectivity. The surrounding area of the top surface will also be coated with rhodium to provide a conductive surface for the installation of temperature sensors. The toroidal mirror optic must fit into the existing vacuum vessel at B21 in which a cylindrically bent vertical focusing mirror is currently placed. The toroidal mirror optic must fit onto the same mounting assembly that now holds the current mirror. The assembly includes motors for height, pitch and bending radius adjustment and a gravity compensator consisting of 4 independent manually adjustable support pillars. A separate motorised horizontal stage and a separate motorised yaw adjustment will be designed in-house and will not form part of this tender. Note that the toroidal mirror is located downstream from a set of diamond filters and a double multilayer monochromator (not in this tender).
