The Bohunice International Decommissioning Support Fund (BIDSF), administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, was established in November 2001 to finance and/or co-finance selected projects over a period of approximately 20 years amounting to approximately EUR 681 million. Jadrová a vyraďovacia spoločnosť, a.s. (JAVYS) is undertaking a programme of pre-decommissioning and decommissioning projects which are consequential to the decision taken by the Slovak Republic to final shutdown Bohunice Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2 (Bohunice V1 NPP) to be financed and/or co-financed with the resources of the Fund. Approval of the project financing is subject to the decision of the Assembly of Contributors of the BIDSF. The Assembly may modify the contents of the projects.

The proposed decommissioning support projects would require the procurement of the following goods, works, supply and installation and services contracts in the following areas and/or projects over the next twelve months:

. Consultancy services of the PMU Consultant;
. Correction of the JAVYS power supply system;
. Interim storage for special radioactive waste;
. Purchase of laboratory equipment for decommissioning process;
. Purchase of IT equipment and Documentation Management System.

Tendering for the above contracts is expected to begin in 2018.

The procurement of contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a BIDSF grant, administered by EBRD, will be subject to the EBRD Procurement Policies and Rules, available in http://www.ebrd.com/news/publications/policies/procurement-policies-and-rules.html. All tenders will be open to firms from any country.

The proceeds of the BIDSF grants will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser's country.
