This is a collaborative tender for the following Trusts:

— Countess of Chester NHS Foundation Trust,

— Wirral University and Clatterbridge Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust,

— Mid Cheshire NHS Foundation Trust,

— East Cheshire NHS Trust,

— St Helen’s and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

The service is required to provide a high quality, all-inclusive radiation protection service and unlimited advice through all forms of communication. This service is required from experienced Radiation Protection Advisors. This must include the service of suitably qualified Medical Physics Experts for consultation, regarding compliance within provision of HSE approved dosimetry service, for individual monitoring and provision of suitable qualified Protection Advisors for advice on non-ionising radiation.The Trust is seeking to appoint a single supplier for all sites to provide the Radiation Protection and Dosimetry Servic for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for 1year+1year.

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust will incorporate a standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. That notification will provide full information on the award decision. The standstill period, which will be for a minimum of 10 calendar days, provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
