In order to deliver each five of these themes, SICE requires support to provide advice and specialist technical expertise to support the development of the innovation support programme, the bid appraisal process and delivery stages of the programmes. Support is also required for monitoring the progress of the projects which have been successful in their application across programmes in each theme.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement: The BEIS Energy Innovation Programme (with a budget of 505 000 000 GBP from 2015-2021) aims to accelerate the commercialisation of innovative clean energy technologies and processes into the 2020s and 2030s. BEIS requires support in delivering five of the Programme's six themes: Smart Systems; Built Environment (energy efficiency and heating); Industrial Decarbonisation and Carbon Capture, Use, and Storage (CCUS); Nuclear Innovation; and Cross-Cutting technologies. Each theme is structured with several programmes and individual projects to deliver the programme and theme aims. In order to deliver each theme, SICE requires further skilled support including specialist technical expertise and project management expertise to sup-port the development of the projects, the bid appraisal process and delivery of the programmes. Support is also required for monitoring and evaluating the progress of the numerous projects which have been successful in their application across programmes in each theme.
