Flexible DC Power cable is required for the refurbishment and upgrade program on the Riken beamline. This cable will be used to connect the power supplies used to provide the drive current to the various types of magnets used on the accelerator. The power supplies range from 5kW to 100kW with an output current range of 100 Amps DC to 500 Amps DC with the exception of RB2 which has an output of 4200A. Each power supply will use single core or multiple single core high temperature cables.

Description of the procurement:

There is the potential purchase for additional cables (in the sizes as stated above) over 4 year contract with the successful supplier not exceeding the maximum budget of £195,000.
