II.1) Scope of the procurement II.1.1) Title: The Provision of Scientific Support Services for the Licensing and Enforcement of Radiotherapy and Other Medical Facilities
II.1.2) Main CPV code 90721600 II.1.3) Type of contract Services II.1.4) Short description: The EPA is seeking to recruit externally contracted consultancy resource on a fixed term 2 year basis to provide it with additional inspection capacity in relation to radiotherapy and other medical facilities. The contractor must provide a resource which has relevant technical qualifications and broad experience in radiation protection in a radiotherapy setting. Specifically, the contractor will be part of a team responsible for:
— assessing applications to authroise new radiotherapy and other medical practices,
— inspection of licensed medical facilities,
— developing and updating technical guidance/code of practice,
— inspections in other types of facility as required,
— legal enforcement.
