The consultant is expected to support F4E and to provide expertise in managing major claims, amendments and variations. The consultancy services are expected to be requested in order to prevent or solve conflictual situations which might lead to major claims or contract amendments and are mostly generated by changes/variations to the baseline contract or defective products. The services will be mainly provided in the area of construction FIDIC contracts.

Description of the procurement:
The contractor will provide consultancy services and expertise mainly in the area of construction FIDIC contracts:

1) The analysis and development of strategy for assessing and dealing with:

(a) claims (employer and contractor claims);

(b) variations;

(c) contract amendments.

2) The development of the assessment and/or of the negotiation strategy;

3) Ensuring the leadership of and/or participation in the negotiation team;

4) The reporting of its activity.

Services should be provided on ad-hoc basis and/or on regular basis via regular visits to ITER construction site in Cadarache.
