Description of the procurement:
Helse Stavanger HF [Stavanger Health Trust] opened a new PET centre in March 2017. The operation of the centre requires radioactive isotopes in order to be able to perform PET and CT examinations. Stavanger Health Trust does not have equipment manufacture this substance, and therefore the company currently obtains isoptopes from commercial suppliers in Oslo who deliver the entire chain, i.e. both isotopes and transport of isotopes. There is temporarily capacity internally in Helse Vest [the Western Norway Regional Health Authority] for the production of the isotope (at Haukeland University Hospital) and it is desirable that this capacity now be utilised for in-house production, also for Helse Stavanger's [Stavanger Hospital Trust's] need.

It is a total transport solution (door to door) for this material that is now being procured. Due to the substance's short halving time, only air transport is relevant between Bergen and Stavanger, and then by vehicle to and from the airport/hospital. The substance has a transport index that requires it is not transport by "regular" scheduled flights.

The need for delivery is 2 days a week every second week, and 3 days a week every other week. In the long term, it is to be expected that operations may be stepped up to a maximum of 5 days per week, corresponding with the need for delivery of the medicine.

1 to 2 transport boxes (will be boxes) will be transported per freight. These contain a radioactive medicine. See further specifications of what is to be transported in Annex 2a, "Information about what will be transported".

Refer to Annex 2, the Requirement Specification, for more detailed information.
