Short description:
The objective of this study is to assist the implementation of the dose assessment requirements in Council Directive 2013/59/Euratom by offering EU Member States free access to a complete set of conversion coefficients for radiological protection quantities for occupational and public intake of radionuclides.

This will allow EU Member States to implement the dose assessment requirements in Council Directive 2013/59/Euratom in accordance with the latest scientific developments.

Description of the procurement:
The contract shall comprise the preparation of a complete set of conversion coefficients based on the tissue-weighing factors, radiation weighing factors and reference phantoms laid down in ICRP Publication 103, and taking account of the latest scientific developments, covering in particular the following:

— dose coefficients for occupational intake of radionuclides,

— dose coefficients for public intake of radionuclides at different ages, including nursing infants, embryos and foetuses.

The contractor will arrange for free public access to this set of values and relationships.
