Contract description

The overall objective of the project is to achieve effective nuclear safety culture and implementation of the highest nuclear safety and radiation protection standards. This will be achieved through the support to the Iranian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (INRA): enhancing its capabilities, including the Nuclear Safety Centre (NSC), towards international and EU best practice, establishing a management system of the NSC, establishing a comprehensive regulatory oversight of radioactive waste management in Iran, deploying decision support system for nuclear and radiological emergencies, establishing of the Emergency Response Centre within the NSC and drafting of technical specifications for equipment needed for typical laboratory functions of the NSC.
