Short description of nature and quantity or value of supplies or services:
The Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) is the statutory independent regulator of nuclear safety, security, and conventional health and safety at nuclear sites in the UK. In order to support its ongoing regulatory activities, ONR is looking to renew its Technical Support Framework (TSF) towards the end of 2018. To this end, ONR is proposing to procure technical services under 2 lots:
— Lot 1 will procure technical support services in the technical disciplines of Reactor Core Physics and Fault Studies;
— Lot 2 will procure Specialist Engineering and Technical Services that will include service provision in the following areas:
— internal and external hazards,
— civil,
— mechanical and electrical engineering,
— control and instrumentation,
— probabilistic safety analysis,
— fuel design and reactor chemistry,
— radiation protection and radiological consequence analysis,
— structural integrity analysis,
— human factors and management of safety,
— radioactive waste management and decommissioning, and,
— other technical services as may be required by ONR to assist in the delivery of its regulatory duties in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
It is envisaged that Lot 1 will have no more than three framework suppliers and that Lot 2 will have no more than four framework suppliers.

The Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) is hosting a Supplier Day in the Radisson Blu Hotel, 107 Old Hall Street Liverpool, L3 9BD on Thursday 22 February 2018 between 10 am and (no later than) 4 pm.
The objective of the day is to introduce and communicate the technical support needs of ONR and to provide additional detail to potential suppliers about the forthcoming procurement. There will be an open Question & Answer session after presentations.
To keep manageable numbers, those interested in attending will be limited to 2 places and are required to reserve these places by sending an email to christine.alcock@onr.gov.uk stating ‘Tender ONR/T3181’ in the subject header.

On 24th November 2017, ONR issued a Supplier Briefing Paper to all existing Technical Service Contractors to provide assurance that the delivery model proposed was recognizable to the market and as a means of securing early feedback.
To ensure fair and equal treatment ONR is willing to share this document so that all in the market are furnished with the same information before commencement, of the procurement process. A copy may be requested when registering for the Supplier Day.
This is a Prior Information Notice only. Other than registering for the Supplier Day, no action is required. Further detail about the timing of the procurement process (which will be conducted using the Restricted Procedure) will be provided at the Supplier Day.
