Short description:
The Bunker project carries the task of shielding the main source of radiation (target systems, monolith as well as first several meters of instruments hardware and beam guides). In addition to manufacturing, assembly of subsystems and delivery of finished blocks to the ESS site; the contract will include provisions for appropriate design input from the supplier to ensure most cost-effective solutions. The contract resulting from this tender will encompass initial design input (producing manufacturing drawings, as ESS will supply detailed design in generic CAD model form, with key elements and assemblies detailed in drawings), sourcing and manufacturing of components, assembly into sub-systems; delivery of sub-systems (shielding blocks) to the ESS site and installation activities.
