Principia | Principia is a small (10 engineers) independent consultancy established in Spain in 1984, named after Newton's landmark work. The company is active generally in the applied mechanics area, with a strong specialisation on dynamic and non-linear problems concerning structures in an ample sense of the word. Earthquakes, impacts, vibrations, large deformations, coupled problems, failures, etc, typically motivate Principia's projects. The company operates worldwide in its areas of specialisation.
Principia is very active in the nuclear field, but also in other areas which share similar needs: petrochemical, civil, mining, aerospace, metal forming, etc. The projects are generally oriented to the verification of the adequacy of a design against extreme loads, the feasibilty of a planned forming process or similar endeavours. But very often the activities are forensic in nature, as required for understanding the causes and mechanisms of a failure already experienced.
Since 1988 Principia is also the agent for the ABAQUS computer codes in Spain and Portugal. | Main email: | to send an email to this company click here |
