Once the implementation of the FWC is completed (4 year-base), ITER Organization and Fusion for Energy shall have to carry out a number of checks and verification on the PD (Preliminary Design Review), in order to identify possible issues (so called chits). A 5th year (renewal) may be used to carry out technical activities to close potential long-lasting chits & to perform complementary analysis
