The Company was incorporated in 1957 under the name of Machine Control Ltd to produce air filters to meet the needs of the fast growing electronics, air conditioning & process engineering industries. The Company introduced and patented many innovative filter designs, which were marketed under the general product name of EMCEL. In 1993, to consolidate the corporate image and to improve customer awareness, the Company name was logically changed to EMCEL Filters Ltd. This, we believe, makes us the longest established, independent, air filter manufacturer in the UK.
Today the Company employs a dedicated workforce, blending local manufacturing skills with a team of fully qualified scientists, chemists and engineers. EMCEL is committed to a constant product design and development programme which includes new manufacturing techniques, testing facilities and specialist equipment to combat the ever-changing pollution problems that arise in the complex world of air filtration.
EMCEL provides a complete service to R & D Departments, Project Engineers and Consultants :- from initial design concept, CAD drawings, prototypes, testing and then to final production. All completed in-house. Flexible manufacturing facilities enable EMCEL to supply in long or short production runs as required.
